My favorite part of Golfing is not going! I'm a "Happy Gilmore" golfer; 2 clubs, a Wood & a Putter. (lol)
When I was 18, I layed VCT tile inside "Sawgrass Golf & Country Club",(of course they have ponds). That was THE BEST bass-fishing experience I've had, (average 5-6Lb's with 2 in the 8LB realm, average 3-4 an hour!!! I got to fish it from 5pm-dark everyday for 1 week. AND I wasn't even hitting the major golf-ponds. I was fishing 3-4 FT DITCHES!).
Figures that the "golfing" elite would also have a "handle" on great fishing!!(lol)
Should all Bass-fisherman/woman unite and TAKE OVER the courses for a true GODLY sport!!? (lol)(teasin)
LOL...I bought a house on the golf course (7th hole of the back 9) just for access to the bass pond! Sold my set of Ping clubs and bought a G Loomis GLX worm rod and good reel. The fishing here is not anywhere the quality you describe but you can consistently catch bass on every cast and it is only a 2 hour drive to some quality smallmouth, largemouth, walleye and crappie fishing.
BTW...I used to be a carpet layer but after I quit it took 4 years for the hair to grow back on my knees. I know you know what I'm talking about!
